  • Learn about SHERLOCK HOLMES here ( Learn English Teens- British Council)
  • Watch another video about him. Do some exercises.

A film comment / review

Write a film comment/ review 
( Year 8 Homework - see the EXAMPLES below)



Write about one film ( around 60/ 80 words) and refer:
  • title of the film ( original title in English)
  • type of film
  • release date
  • director
  • stars
  • summary of the plot
  • opinions ( e.g. "I chose this film because I'm interested in.../ I think the film is amazing and the acting is quite good.../ I was impressed by the beautiful costumes... ")
🔎 Search information about films on the IMDb website, for example.
📌 Choose one film (adequate for school) from the films you like.
📝 Write your review. You can refer your favorite part ( scene or actor) or other aspects of the film, such as: the acting, the soundtrack (music), the special effects, the costumes, the photography, the screenplay (story), any awards.

Read the film reviews of "The Hunger Games", "Skyfall" or "The amazing Spider-man"
